Thomas Honeck

Thomas Honeck

Thomas was born in the wilds of Western New York in the small town of Brockport just off of the Eric Canal. He was raised on a hard scrabble diet of the Buffalo Bills, cold mashed potatoes, and the music of Bruce Springsteen. The highlight of his performing career is a toss up between performing at The Cleveland Play House and touring with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as the Evil Shredder. He is a proud member of both Equity and SAG/AFTRA.

Thomas has been the General Manager for the Duplex Cabaret Theatre since 2006. He is responsible for the staff, booking the performers and the run of the space. He is especially fond of working with composers and bringing new works to the public.

As the Technical Director of the Duplex, Thomas has been honored with the Back Stage Bistro and the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs Awards. As a performer, he won the MAC Award for Special Production for his one-man show “Dreaming Wide Awake”.

In 2014, both he and his creative partner, Lisa Moss, received a Bistro Award as an “Innovative and Nurturing Team”.

He has also taught at the Cabaret Conference at Yale.
