BRANDON CUTRELL is a Nightlife Award, Bistro Award and two-time MAC Award winner. New York credits: Broadway By The Year at Town Hall, The 2nd Annual Broadway Unplugged at Town Hall, Pippin (with Ben Vereen and Rosie O’Donnell), La Gioconda at TheatreSource, David Friedman’s King Island Christmas, and Liz Swados’ Waiting For Lefty. National: Theatre of the Stars, Goodspeed Musicals, the Human Race Theatre and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. For nearly two years, Brandon was the original host of the MAC Award nominated show, Mostly Sondheim. In June of 2006, Brandon made his solo debut at Feinstein’s, New York’s legendary nightclub on Park Avenue. From 2006 to 2010 Brandon hosted The After Party on 42nd Street in Times Square. Brandon is the emcee of Brandon Cutrell & Cohorts, Brandon Cutrell’s Broadway at the Beach, Brandon Cutrell’s Open Call and Stonewall Sensation. In 2010, Time Out New York gave Brandon its special MAC Award for “Nightlife Entertainer of the Year.” Brandon’s self-titled cd is available on iTunes. Maria Gentile has been a Proud member of the Duplex team since 1998. Working in the Piano Bar, as well as Directing shows, teaching Cabaret Class with Darius Frowner and Performing Comedy with Susan Campanaro in the Cabaret Theater.

Maria Has WRITTEN AND RECORDED 2 Albums of original music “So many Pieces of Me” And “That…Which is Real” which can be found on iTunes and most digital download sites

3 of her songs have been nominated over the years for MAC “Song of the Year” she won that category in 2004 for “KINDNESS MAKES ME CRY”

Maria has been nominated 9 times for MAC Piano Bar Entertainer of the year and won in 2013

Maria has been on the teaching staff at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ since 2009

She has also been nominated for Piano Bar Entertainer of the year 7 times.

Maria is also a member of AEA, SAG, ASCAP & AFTRA

She fancies herself a “Master Mixologist” and loves creating new drinks for customers from All over the world
also swears the Duplex “the Happiest Place on Earth”. Maria can be found Singing and Mixing in the Piano Bar on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays

Tina Himaya

Tina Himaya

Tina is a native New Yorker, born and raised on Long Island. After being chosen as a finalist in Season 10 of “Stonewall Sensation” back in 2012, she was presented with the wonderful opportunity to join the team at The Duplex. Tina’s first professional job in “Showbiz” came at 12 years old when she performed as a Singer/Dancer in the now NYCB Theatre at Westbury’s Christmas Spectacular. She went on to receive a Merit Award of Recognition in Musical Theatre from The National Foundation for Advancement in the ARTS (Miami Fl, 03′). Tina was beyond thrilled when she was chosen to be an MC for a Radio Disney Concert Event at the now Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre to help fight hunger in NY. Some of her favorite credits include: Natalie in The New York Regional Premier of “Next to Normal” (Westchester Sandbox Theatre), Joy in “Cinderella” (La Comedia Dinner Theatre), Crystal in “Little Shop of Horrors” (The Devon Theatre), SOL Soloist in “RENT” (M.O.C. Musicals, Dir. Bob Cline), Homeless Lady in “Let’s Air It!” – A Sketch Comedy Monologue (Pilot – NYC Metro Channel) and as a Singer on The Original Demo Recording of a new Musical “The Divine Sarah” (NYC). Tina sang, and won the award for Most Outstanding Vocal at the 6th Annual Omni Music & Actor Awards honoring Academy Award Winner Lou Gossett Jr. in Los Angeles, CA. Tina has been Bartending on and off for 10 years, but has developed a newfound love and appreciation for it within the last 3 or 4. In 2014, she acquired two Special Certifications in Wine and Beer Hospitality. Tina loves developing new Cocktails with her co-workers, and having the freedom to express herself creatively both behind and in front of the Bar. Darius Frowner

Darius Frowner

Darius Frowner (pianist on Monday and Thursday nights). Darius often musical directs shows for national tours and regional runs. Some credits include Smokey Joe’s Cafe and A Chorus Line and he has played in many productions of Ain’t Misbehavin in the US and Europe. Darius also accompanies many Broadway artists including frequent appearances with Norm Lewis. In NYC he has performed with Billy Porter, Mario Cantone, Rita Moreno and Joan Rivers. Darius is also the musical supervisor for the Performing Arts School atThe Mayo Center in Morristown NJ, where he teaches courses for children as well as adults.

2017 marks the 25th year for Darius at The Duplex! Darius plays on Monday and Thursday nights and his nights are called Singer Spotlight. Darius loves to show off singers, and on any of his shifts you will hear amazing vocalists in pop, R&B and theater styles. Group songs are a big feature as well, and his piano bar shifts are often singer showcases with many surprise guest stars.
