Originally from South Dakota, Brent has played stages from New Zealand to Broadway, and now the legendary Duplex. Credits include principal pianist THE ILLUSIONISTS at the Palace Theater on Broadway. Music Director and keys for FLASHDANCE the musical national tour. Onstage Blog best actor in a musical award Westchester for Chris in MISS SAIGON. Other regional music theater credits include CHESS, PARADE, RENT, SWEENEY TODD, LES MIZ. Originally trained in opera and composition at the Cleveland Institute of music and the University of Washington, McGee has worked with the Seattle Opera, Cleveland opera, and Lyric Opera Cleveland. Brent spent five proud years as a public school music and choir teacher before making the transition from classical to pop/broadway to fulfill a life long dream of belting it out and rocking it out at the keys in NYC. Brent can be found entertaining in rooms all around the world including the classy Club Rayé in Paris, to the illustrious Town House in NYC, as well as other haunts like the old Uncle Charlie’s, but considers the Duplex home. Specializing in songs you forgot you liked, Brent blends humor, talent, and sass each night in equal measure.

Thea is a NYC based actor originally from the SF Bay Area and a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School. Recent roles in NYC productions include Polina in The Seagull, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Farrah in We Are The Tigers (reading), and Delaware in My Gay Killer Husband. Thea loves developing new work in both theatre and film and is always looking forward to the next project!


Deena Sydney

Deena Sydney

Deena was born and raised is New York. She started singing at the age of 9 with The Metropolitan Opera where she stayed for 7 seasons and performed in over 250 performances, soloing in Tosca, Die Agyptische Helena, and Hansel und Gretl. Although her first memories were singing Beauty and the Beast during nap time to the rest of her sleepy kindergarten class, she decided to retire from opera at the ripe age of 16 and turn her sights to Musical Theater. Deena received her BFA from NYUs Tisch School of the Arts and performed in a handful of shows during her time there including: Words, Words, Words (Milton), Into the Woods (Cinderella), and The Girl Who Was Plugged In (P. Burke). Since graduating, Deena has performed in various shows, concerts, and competition (She loves the Spotlight) including “Stonewall Sensation” which eventually carried her to the Duplex.

Deena has been bartending for the past 4 years and loves every minute of it. At the Duplex, she gets to fulfill both her passions: singing and booze! Come visit Deena at the Duplex – She promises to make all your musical and alcoholic dreams come true.
